SYNOPSIS
Yung Beef is an icon of Spanish trap music–but behind the public persona is Fernando, a man wrestling with drug addiction. His friend María, who lost her father to the same struggle, crafts a poetic and punk documentary about friendship and the fragile balance between the artist and the self.

María Urquijo was born in Madrid, Spain in 1994. She worked in the music industry as costume designer and creative director, attached to artists in the Spanish and Dominican music scenes such as Rosalia, Lauryn Hill, Jay Cortez or Yung Beef. Her works have for instance been featured in magazines such as Vogue Spain, i-D, Nylon Japan .
This project is her first feature documentary, after spending the last years studying cinema in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.
