SYNOPSIS
Mohammed-Lamine, an Algerian-born taxi driver in Paris decides to Frenchify his name. His filmmaker daughter Camélia seeks to understand why.
She initiates a conversation about Algeria and what it means to be French and Algerian. As two worldviews collide, an imaginary country emerges between the lines.

Camélia Gadhgadhi is a 23 year old Franco-Algerian filmmaker born in the suburbs of Paris. She obtained a master’s degree in cinema and worked on a number of film sets before writing, directing and producing UNZARI, her first short film (distributed by Messina Films, in Tokyo in 2019.
She currently works as a writing coordinator and assistant showrunner on the first French Apple TV show, which is in pre-production. She is also in the final steps of post-production for La Nuit, her second short film, which she self-produced and shot in Paris in 2021.
