SYNOPSIS
When Camélia learns that her father Mohamed-Lamine has decided to Frenchify his name, a rift opens.
Through their conversation, interwoven with Camélia’s journeys to Algeria, Bitter Seed is a creative documentary about immigration and dual identity.

Camélia Gadhgadhi is a 26-year-old French-Algerian filmmaker from the Paris suburbs. After completing a master's degree in cinema and gaining various experiences on film sets, she wrote, directed, and produced her first short film, UNZARI in Tokyo in 2019.
She worked as a writing coordinator and assistant showrunner on the production of the first French Apple TV series, La Maison and directed her second short film, La nuit shot in Paris in 2021 and auto-produced.
